Meeting Notes (Friday, 2/27/09) ----------------------------------------- In Attendance: Ryan James Terry Ted Don DKL Emily Felix Anna Stefan ----------------------------------------- 5:30pm ----------------------------------------- Ryan started with the lights off so he could load film in the 16mm camera. People trickled in. Good attendance today! Discussion of the Oscars, popular films, comic book movies. Ryan finally finished loading the film and started the meeting in earnest. He began talking about the shoot on Sunday. Crew should arrive at 11:00pm or so. Voiceover work will be done on campus. At around 2:00pm, we will go to the farm, which will wrap up around 6pm. Many different formats will be used for shooting, including 8mm, 16mm, 16mm sync-sound, and HD. Mentioned the use of magazines for shooting 400-ft. rolls. Also, there will be a dolly tracking system for the shoot. Talkin' 'bout C-stands. Using the light meter. Apparently, the Cut is not reservable, but we are instead getting the CFA lawn for the projection of the festival. DKL brought up issue of a fine if we don't use McConomy (our rain site) for the festival. James countered with dual-programming. Then we got an email saying that the CFA Lawn is already reserved for April 25. Uh-oh. Stefan came in at this point. We learned about DKL's family origins. Postcards were discussed. Looks like we'll be printing 1,000 instead of 500, but it'll only cost like +$7.00, so good! James explained what he'd be doing after graduation next year. Don talked about lightsabers. Freeson apparently did something with a poster and Ryan will send it to James. DKL will look into getting special allocation. James solicited interest in his short film project. Anna announced a new start-up club -- Photography Club. They meet Fridays(?). The meeting basically ended around 6:45. After the meeting, Ryan received an email that the CFA Lawn was not available on April 25, so the festival date may have to be moved to April 24.
